We hebben meer dan 500 inzendingen voor de Different Angle Film Competition en de Dutch Music Video Competition. Een selectie van deze inzendingen zal deelnemen aan de officiele competitie. Deze selectie zal worden aangekondigd op deze website op 1 augustus 2010.

Different Angle Film Competition
Deze filmcompetitie heeft als doel de independent filmmaker aan te moedigen om zijn/haar visie op een actueel thema op een interessante en creatieve manier vanuit een andere hoek te verbeelden dan dat we gewend zijn. Uit alle inzendingen worden de 10 beste films genomineerd en vertoond tijdens het festival. De uiteindelijke winnaar van de Different Angle Film Award wordt gekozen door een professionele jury en bekend gemaakt tijdens het festival van 8 t/m 17 oktober 2010. In 2009 is de Different Angle Film Competition gewonnen door: Left Behind van regisseurs Andreas Gräfenstein & Fabian Daub, Duitsland.

Dutch Music Video Competition
De eerste Nederlandse competitie waar het puur gaat om de muziekvideo! De inzendingen worden door een jury beoordeeld op onder andere originaliteit in concept, creativiteit in de productiekeuze en balans in muziek en beeld. De jury bestaat uit vooraanstaande mensen uit het vakgebied van muziek en film. In 2009 waren dat Bart Rutten (conservator Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam), Jonas Akerlund (veelvuldig bekroond regisseur) en Marco Grandia (muziek video regisseur voor o.a. Kane en Di-rect). De competitie is verdeeld in een nationale en een internationale selectie. Ook deze awards worden uitgereikt tijdens het festival van 8 t/m 17 oktober 2010. In 2009 zijn de Dutch Music Video Awards gewonnen door: Beste internationale viceoclip: Hey / Artiest: Eatliz, van regisseur Guy Ben Shetrit, Israël. Beste Nederlandse videoclip: Squeeze Me / Artiest: Kraak & Smaak, van regisseurs André Maat en Henk Loorbach.

We have over 500 submissions for our Different Angle Film Competition and Dutch Music Video Competition. A selection of these submissions will enter the official competition. That will be announced on this website on the 1st of August 2010.

Different Angle Film Competition
The aim of this film competition is to encourage independent filmmakers to present their vision of a current theme in an interesting, creative way from a different angle than we are used to. The 10 best films will be nominated and screened during the festival. A professional jury will choose the winner of the Different Angle Film Award and announce it during the festival from 8-17 October 2010.
In 2009 the Different Angle Film Competition was won by:
Left Behind from directors Andreas Gräfenstein & Fabian Daub, Germany.

Dutch Music Video Competition
The first Dutch competition all about the music video! The submitted music videos will be judged by a jury on originality in concept, creativity in the productionchoice and balance in music and image. The jury consists of prominent people from the music and film business. In 2009 that were Bart Rutten (curator Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam), Jonas Akerlund (multi-award winning director) and Marco Grandia (music video director for Dutch artists such as Kane and Di-rect). The competition is divided in a national and international selection. The awards will be given during the festival from 8-17 October 2010.
In 2009 the Dutch Music Video Awards were won by:
Best international viceoclip: Hey / Artist: Eatliz, from director Guy Ben Shetrit, Israël.
Best Dutch videoclip: Squeeze Me / Artist: Kraak & Smaak, from directors André Maat and Henk Loorbach.
