Different Angle Film Competition

The aim of the film competition is to encourage independent filmmakers to present their visions of a current theme in an interesting, creative way. The 10 films by the nominated makers will be screened during the festival and assessed by a professional jury. It is crucial that the submitted work offers a clear, original vision of a topic of contemporary relevance, and demonstrates creative production choices. The filmmaker must also display a large degree of artistic freedom in the creation of the film. The winner will be announced during the festival.

COMPETITION IS CLOSED

A selection of films will enter the “Different Angle” competition. The films selected for this competition will be announced on 1 August on the website www.Shoot-me.nl. The nominees will be informed by the Shoot Me Film Festival organisation.

The criteria for the “Different Angle” competition are:

1. Originality:
- current, social perception.

 2. Creativity:
- artistic choices made in production and post-production.

3. Independence:
- in relation to artistic freedom.

4. Clarity:
-  The content must be clear and the subject well-formulated.

De filmcompetitie heeft als doel de independent filmmaker aan te moedigen om zijn visie op een actueel thema op een interessante, creatieve manier te verbeelden. De 10 films van de genomineerden worden vertoond tijdens het festival en worden beoordeeld door een professionele jury. Belangrijk is dat de inzending een heldere, originele visie op een actueel onderwerp laat zien en ook creativiteit in de productiekeuze. Verder moet de filmmaker een grote mate van artistieke vrijheid hebben gehad bij de totstandkoming van de film. De prijswinnaar wordt tijdens het festival bekendgemaakt.
