Ian Fraser "Lemmy" Kilmister, the bass player, singer and founder of the legendary band Motörhead, is a true icon of the heavy metal/punk scene. No wonder someone decided to make a rockumentary about him, titled: “Lemmy: the Movie”. Dutch premiere on the 14th of October at Shoot Me Film Festival!

Corbijn will visit SMFF on the 12th of October for an extensive Q&A. He will talk about his career, his music videos and his work as a director. This is the opportunity for upcoming talent and fans to meet one of Holland’s most accomplished artists. Ticket sales will start soon!

We are very proud to announce that Dutch comedian Jandino Asporaat will be hosting our Antillean program on the 10th of October! Jandino is famous for his cabaret performances and his weekly show ‘Comedy at Work’ on Dutch national tv.

From the 8th until the 17th of October 2010, with a unique retrospective of photographer and filmmaker Anton Corbijn. Ticketsale starts in September.

On 10-10-2010 the Dutch government will declare the Antilles independent. On that day the Shoot Me Film Festival has a special Antillean program! Filled with films, documentaries, music and food...all part of the Antillean culture.

We have over 500 submissions for our Different Angle Film Competition and Dutch Music Video Competition. A selection of these submissions will enter the official competition. They will be announced on this website on the 1st of August 2010.
